The ITS Information Systems teams work to ensure all Cyclones can log into Iowa State systems and see the data they need. They support:

  • Net-IDs.
  • Outlook.
  • e-Data.

 Identity Services

The Identity Services team maintains effective IT solutions that identify and authenticate users in Iowa State systems. The team supports login activity for enterprise systems across the university and helps to manage the Sign On Dashboard. They also oversee systems involving identity and access management, mail and communication and collaboration environments.

 Reporting and Analytics

The Reporting and Analytics team unifies data across the university to optimize business decisions made at the strategic, tactical and operational levels. In unifying data, the team creates and maintains reports, dashboards and visualizations. The team has built and tested data for Iowa State’s institutional financial strategy, student enrollment, the State of Iowa Board of Regents and Workday, among other initiatives.

Database Administration

The ITS Database Administration team ensures access to accurate and secure data across more than 250 university database environments. The team maintains databases through backups, restoration and performance monitoring while managing data for the university’s data warehouse. The team is available as a resource for developers, report writers and anyone writing queries for university databases.
