The WorkCyte program continues the modernization of Iowa State systems by engaging in a project to replace ADIN, AccessPlus and other legacy systems. The implementation of the Workday Student software will occur from June 2023 - January 2025 and includes 7 rollout periods. Many areas across campus are engaged in project activities.

Generative Artificial Intelligence
Generative AI refers to a type of artificial intelligence that is capable of creating new content, such as images, text, music, and even videos, that mimic the style and characteristics of the data it has been trained on. It works by learning the underlying patterns and structures of the data it's exposed to and then generating new content based on that understanding.
Annual Report 2023
The ITS department produces an annual report each fiscal year. The report highlights projects and activities that align with the department's strategic plan and mission to be the university's enterprise core that provides secure, relevant and sustainable technology services and solutions.
Department of Justice Digital Accessibility Update
On April 24, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) published it's final rule on web content and mobile app accessibility in the Federal Register. This regulation is a significant step in enforcing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) under Title II, which mandates that state and local government websites and mobile applications must be accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Identity Governance Project
Every Iowa State University Net-ID is the unique identifier of a student, faculty or staff member. These digital identities are at the heart of digital information, security and privacy. As part of modernizing Iowa State's Identity Governance, many transformations will take place to better protect, secure and maintain customers' digital identities.
IT Inventory Audit
ITS will begin a large project to address five IT inventory audit recommendations related to purchasing, devices and inventory, to be completed by mid- to late-2025. The recommendations are the result of a report generated by the Iowa Board of Regents Office of Internal Audit.
