At some point, you may get locked out of your account or need to change your password for security reasons. While the IT Solution Center is available to help, you can reset your password on by yourself. in order to be able to reset your password without calling the IT Solution center, you will need to set up at least two authentication methods such as a phone number, a secondary email address (NOT Iowa State address), the Microsoft Authenticator App, or the Google Authenticator App. 

 

Resetting your Password

You must have at least two authentication factors to reset your own password. If you do not have at least two authentication factors set up, please contact the solution center (solution@iastate.edu or 515-294-4000) for help with a password reset. 

 

1) Go to login.iastate.edu.

2) Click Can’t access your account?

3)Click Work or school account.

4) Enter email address (netid@iastate.edu) and answer the security question.

5) Complete the two-step verification process.
