College of Engineering, Information Technology
The College of Engineering full-time IT Staff and part-time student systems administrators continually innovate and enhance learning the technology for faculty, staff, student and research arena’s. Our current support of all technology within the departments, college, in conjunction with university IT initiatives covers but is not bound by server and client integrations with Linux, Sun, Windows, Mac systems, SCCM, VMWare, Papercut, Terminal Servers, High Performance Clusters, networking, systems purchasing, installation and configuration. Support to Engineering Online Learning infrastructure for client and servers utilized in recording, editing, and streaming of class content.
College of Human Sciences, IT Services
The College of Human Sciences IT staff and part-time students assist with desktop, lab, and server support needs.
College of Veterinary Medicine, Information Technology
We provide laptop, desktop, mobile device and organization infrastructure support for Vet Med students, faculty and staff. Our efforts includes IT, network infrastructure, distance education, laboratory and research, administrative departments and classroom support.
University Extension, Information Technology
Extension IT provides desktop and infrastructure support for ISU Extension staff in offices both on campus and across the state of Iowa. Support includes networks, troubleshooting, new computer purchases and setup. EIT also provides web conferencing services and technical services supporting program delivery.
University Library, Computers & Equipment
Library IT plans, implements, and provides technical support for automated systems and network linkages throughout the Library and is responsible for training Library staff in their use. Areas of responsibility include the Library web pages, the integrated library management system, local area networks supporting both public and staff computing, multi-media collaboration studios, presentation rooms, computer labs, and desktop computing applications. The division also provides technical support for the State Library of Iowa's SILO Project.
